As schools struggle to retain teachers, the need for engaging training and professional development resources that ignite educators’ passions has never been greater. In this five-session virtual cohort, best-selling author and internationally recognized presenter and educator George Couros shows you how to create innovative professional learning experiences that not only improve learning for students, but adults as well. The RocketPD cohort experience is designed to give school district leaders, ESCs and instructional trainers and coaches an actionable, affordable and convenient way to facilitate effective professional development at a time when schools and school communities face both intense initiative fatigue and competing distractions. ESCs and school districts can register select members of their organizations and/or building or central-office teams for this interactive, five-session, live-virtual cohort.

Delivered over five weeks, the program includes (5) scheduled structured learning conversations, delivered virtually over Zoom. Plus, password-protected access to the RocketPD Learning Portal, where participants can access practical resources, including a custom “playlist” for each session and, for a limited time, the sessions recordings.

Retain teachers & improve learning through innovative & personalized professional development is an (5)-session (90 minutes each) collaborative professional-learning experience for ESC leaders, professional development coordinators, district and site-level administrators, instructional coaches and teachers. Participants will emerge with practical and proven strategies to deliver effective instructor and expert-led professional development that retains and engages staff, while improving student outcomes.

The RocketPD cohort experience provides a unique opportunity for ESCs, professional development coordinators, school district leadership and their staff teams to have candid conversations with a nationally recognized educator and best-selling author on the subject of staff retention and the power of effective professional development design and delivery. Unlike one-off seminars and keynote speeches, the cohort provides a clear opportunity for sustained development and the basis for a framework that school leaders can use to create stronger, more supportive environments for sustainable success.
