Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Culture of Love Leadership Cohort?

Created by Dr. Luvelle Brown, nationally recognized superintendent, speaker and author, The Culture of Love cohort is a multi-part virtual professional learning program and hands-on workshop for focused K-12 school district leadership teams. School district teams can join open cohorts, scheduled at select time throughout the year. Additionally, districts can choose to invest in a systemwide training exclusive to their district.

Why do this as part of a cohort?

The cohort model is designed to give school district leaders an affordable and convenient way to facilitate difficult but necessary strategic conversations about creating a culture of belonging and inclusiveness in their districts. Districts can register up to (5) members of their leadership teams for open cohorts.

What’s included in this program?

Delivered over multiple months, the program includes a 90-minute kick-off conversation, (9) scheduled strategic conversations and a 90-minute closing implementation session. Additionally, participating school districts can choose to invest in 1:1 executive coaching, including one structured board presentation facilitated by Dr. Brown.

Who should participate?

The Culture of Love cohort is designed specifically for school district leadership. Recommended participants include superintendents, assistant superintendents, district leaders and/or directors and school building principals. The multi-month program is designed to fir within leaders’ busy schedules. Should your team find value in the experience and want to invest in the work more deeply, a full-district intensive model is available.

How will this help my team?

The cohort experience provides a unique opportunity for school district leadership to have candid conversations with a nationally recognized expert and author, while engaging in practical training based in proven practice & research-based methodology. Unlike one-off seminars and keynote speeches, the cohort provides a clear opportunity for sustained development and provides the basis for a framework that school leaders can use to create culturally responsiveness school environments.
